Police are still trying to figure out how a vehicle crashed through a Lakewood Waxing the City storefront Sunday.

Lakewood police detective Tim Marquez said there were no injuries and no structural damage other than a damaged glass door to the Waxing the City building on the corner of Wadsworth Boulevard and Virginia Avenue in Lakewood.

Police received a call on the crash at 4:19 p.m.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as an adult female, according to a Lakewood Police news release, accompanied by an adult male in the passenger seat.

The release said alcohol was not suspected as being a factor in the crash.

“We’re trying to figure out if it was just a wrong pedal pushed or what exactly happened,” Marquez said.

No further information was available.
