Forget about Madonna, Paul McCartney, Prince and Bruce Springsteen: here’s a touring performer who plays Denver about as often as the Rockies make the playoffs (or less, really).

As part of her first major tour in a decade — and her first Colorado appearance in memory — will play the on May 20. The show will promote her Nov. 4 album “It’s the Girls!” but also include some gems from Midler’s long, storied show business career, according to promoter Live Nation.

The Divine Miss M, a Grammy-winning singer and actress who began her career in New York in off-off-Broadway plays and gay bathhouses, will play 22 cities as part of the North American tour. “It’s the Girls!”, a tribute to girl groups throughout the decades, reunites Midler with longtime collaborator Marc Shaiman. Each ticket purchased to her show will include a copy of the album.
