Re: “James Holmes’ attorneys ask for new judge in theater shooting case,” Nov. 15 news story.
James Holmes’ defense lawyers claim that Judge Carlos Samour has used a barrage of insults against them, so they are asking for a new judge. Judge Samour is doing his job. Do the lawyers not realize that the public and judges alike are sick and tired of lawyers using frivolous motions and slipping through and inventing loopholes in the justice system to get their clients off? That is not justice. Our founders are turning in their graves at what we have turned our justice system into.
Kudos to Judge Samour. At least he can sleep at night knowing he did the right thing. How do the defense lawyers sleep? Not at all, I hope.
