1 Bad blood. A man called police to his ex-wife’s home in the 3600 block of South Ceylon Way because her current boyfriend punched his truck and dented it. The man said the suspect was angry with him for blocking the driveway when he came to pick up his kids Nov. 15. The boyfriend was cited.
2 The power supply. Police were investigating a power outage near Chambers Road and 17th Avenue Nov. 10. One officer went to check the power supply for the area, which is inside a building in the 15500 block of East 17th Ave., and he discovered that someone stole the inverter and batteries from the box.
3 Severed mailbox. A woman who lives in the 3600 block of South Mobile Way saw that someone snapped her mailbox post in half Nov. 11. She told police it looked like a truck backed over it while she was at work.
4 Gone in a flash. An employee of the Walmart at 3300 N. Tower Road called police to report that someone stole his Samsung tablet while his back was turned for a few seconds. The victim said he set the device next to him, put some food in the display cases and then it was gone Nov. 12.
5 Back for more. A man called the police department Nov. 17 to report that someone was stealing tools from a home he was remodeling in the 3800 block of Biscay Street. A drill set went missing one day, and then painting supplies were stolen.
6 Faulty garage. Police were called to the 6000 block of Jamestown Way because a man thought someone tried to break into his garage Nov. 9. The garage door would not open, and the handle was bent, but nothing was stolen.
