The on-ramp from Colorado 7 onto southbound Interstate 25 in Broomfield has been closed as crews clean up after a semi-trailer tanker hauling crude oil overturned on Wednesday morning.
The northbound off-ramp from the interstate onto Colorado 7 has also been closed.
The crash happened about 8 a.m. on the on-ramp, spilling crude oil onto the roadway, according to North Metro Fire Rescue.
The driver of the tanker was taken to a hospital with unspecified injuries. Police say they are investigating the cause of the wreck.
Photos from the scene showed crews working to plug the tanker leak.
Police say they expect the ramps to be closed through Wednesday afternoon.
