Interview with Jeri E. Clapp, DVM, owner/president

Q: How did you get involved in this business?

A: I’ve wanted to be a veterinarian for as long as I can remember. I never considered doing anything else. I love animals, I love people — it’s a perfect job.

Q: What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?

A: Our clinic has a small-town feel as we are very family-oriented. We take time for our clients and patients on an individual basis. Our passion for our patients’ well-being motivates us and allows us to be very accommodating.

Q: What do you like best about your line of work?

A: The ability to make a positive difference in the lives of pets and their families. It is so rewarding every single day.

Q: What is your business’ biggest challenge?

A: Our biggest challenge is educating owners on the importance of our instructions. Although many things are posted on the Internet, many things are misleading and are not a reliable source of information. If you have any questions, just give us a call.

Q: Something people might be surprised to learn about you or your business:

A: We are a noncorporate clinic focused on the well-being of our patients rather than the financial side. We also have a groomer at our clinic and offer boarding for our patients.
