USA Football announced on Wednesday that it had selected Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning as a member of the 2014 USA Football All-Fundamentals Team, which honors 11 offensive, 11 defensive and four special teams players who “exhibit exemplary football techniques for young players to emulate.”
The All-Fundamentals Team was selected with help from a five-person committee of Charles Davis, Herm Edwards, Merril Hodge, Carl Peterson and Bill Polian. The team’s three captains will be . The voting period is open until Dec. 22.
Each player chosen to the team is given a $1,000 equipment grant to donate to the youth or high school football program of his choice.
Manning was voted by fans as the offensive captain of the 2013 All-Fundamentals team.
