LOVELAND — Dirt is moving and walls are rising for two huge retailers that have the potential to draw from the same market base.
Liberty Firearms Institute and Bass Pro Shops are each building 100,000-square-foot stores near the crossroads of Interstate 25 and U.S. 34.
Liberty Firearms, a project backed by USA Liberty Arms gun store in Fort Collins and three other partners, will be the largest indoor shooting range in Colorado, with 55 to 60 lanes of 25, 50 and 100 yards for handguns and rifles. The building also will include a gun store, classrooms, restaurant and offices.
“Construction has started,” said Tracey Ryk, a broker associate with The Group Real Estate and spokeswoman for the ownership group. “We anticipate being open this time next year.”
