Police in Denver have identified the man shot to death and found on a couch outside an apartment complex early Wednesday.
Toshio Gilmore’s body was found on the 500 block of Alton Way on the eastern edge of the city about 5 a.m. Police are asking for the public’s help in gathering information on the slaying.
Officers initially were dispatched on reports of a man sleeping on a couch outside in the cold before they arrived to find Gilmore dead.
Officials did not say how old Gilmore was.
Gilmore’s body was found near the Community College of Aurora at Lowry, on the city’s eastern edge.
Images from the scene on Wednesday showed the area draped in crime scene tape, investigators scouring the ground for evidence.
Police say they have no suspect but ask anyone with information on the death to call 720-913-7867.
