1 Cord cut on Nativity scene. A resident of the 2100 block of Illinois Street, Golden, reported someone cut the electrical cord to the lights of a Christmas Nativity scene in her yard sometime between 9 p.m. Dec. 19 and 3 p.m. Dec. 20. She said it was the second time the cord was cut that week and rabbits were unlikely to be the culprits since the cuts were clean. Other cords on the property were untouched.

2 Checkout does not check bill. A guest of Table Mountain Inn, 1310 Washington Avenue, Golden, checked out of their room but did not pay their $800 bill Dec. 22. Hotel staff said a computer error kept them from preauthorizing the guest’s credit card, which was later declined. Housekeeping staff reported finding needles underneath the bed of the room.

3 Got game. The Colorado Division of Gaming offices reported vandalism of its mailbox at 17301 W. Colfax Ave., Golden, on Dec. 20. The post office confirmed mail was delivered that day but none was found in the damaged mailbox, which receives applications and payment of fines. There were no suspects, pending review of surveillance video.

4 Door dinged. A Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputy went to Loaf N Jug, 26067 Conifer Road, on Dec. 24, where two parties were in dispute regarding damage to one’s car. One party claimed the other scratched their car door with his car’s door. They claimed he said “Merry Christmas” when they called him out and he refused to provide his insurance information. The deputy reported that the scratch did not seem to match the shape of the door. The victims refused to provide their information for the report.
