One person died Wednesday in a mobile home fire in Adams County, officials said.
Spokeswoman Sandy Danne of the Adams County Fire Protection District said the blaze was called in at 10:59 a.m.
Danne said the mobile home, in the 8400 block of Harrison Way, was completely engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived.
It took almost 40 minutes to extinguish the fire, Danne said.
“The home is a total loss,” Danne said.
The person found inside the home has not been identified.
Neighbors told 7News that a young couple with a toddler lived in the house, but authorities aren’t saying whether the victim was a child or an adult.
Because the scene remained hazardous, investigators had not been able to enter the house early Wednesday. The cause of the fire has not been determined.
