1 Woman gets a lot of mileage out of oil change. On Dec. 26, a Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputy responded to a call from a woman who had just gotten her oil changed at Grease Monkey, 9902 W. Belleview Ave. in the Littleton area. The woman said her trip odometer read 600 miles more than when she dropped off the car. She had left it for about 30 minutes and didn’t remember the total mileage.

2 Christmas decorations vandalized. A woman called deputies on Dec. 26 after her Christmas decorations were vandalized and one was stolen in the 9600 block of West Coco Circle in the Littleton area. The woman said she heard a thud on her porch and, when she looked out, noticed her one decoration tipped over and deflated, another was lying face down and a “Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer” movie bauble was missing.

3 Neighbor boys suspected in egging. On Dec. 24, a deputy was sent to the 11000 block of Elk Head Range Road, Ken-Caryl, after a man there said he was driving home when he felt something hit his car and saw it was an egg. The deputy found several eggs smashed on the ground and on the porch of a nearby residence, but there was no answer at the door. The victim suspected two neighborhood boys.

4 Brothers fight over money. A deputy responded Dec. 21 to the 8900 block of West Maplewood Drive in the Littleton area, where two brothers had fought. A man there said he had paid for a TV sound bar for his brother and had not been paid back. The two began fighting after an attempt was made to repossess the sound bar. Neither was hurt much and no charges were filed.
