Two suspects are at large after leading police on a wild chase through Cherry Creek State Park before they carjacked a second vehicle, pulling the driver from the vehicle and continuing their flight.
An Englewood officer rolled his vehicle while chasing the two.
East Metro Auto Task Force officers spotted the stolen car at a convenience store near Quincy Avenue and Parker Road, said Lt. Chuck DeShazer of the Aurora Police Department.
They began to follow the vehicle, and the driver fled off-road through the state park.
The vehicle, which was smoking, came to a stop near a marina and the thieves dragged a driver from behind the wheel of another car and continued their flight, DeShazer said.
