The Regional Transportation District last week signed a partnership agreement with Parker and Douglas County to continue to provide Call-n-Ride services to the area.

RTD Call-n-Ride is a curb-to-curb bus service that operates within a designated service area using smaller — 14 passenger — buses.

In October 2014, the Call-n-Ride services in Parker faced cancellation because of a lack of ridership.

But Parker and Douglas County officials worked with RTD to keep the service running. The agreement included financial and in-kind contributions from Douglas County and Parker to fund the service and to promote it to boost ridership.
