Police in Northglenn are searching for two suspects who robbed a man at gunpoint and assaulted him before carjacking his BMW sedan on Tuesday morning.
The man was attacked on the 9600 block of Fox Street as he walked out at about 5 a.m. to start his car. The two suspects, who police say were males, approached him and brandished a black handgun, demanding money.
The man handed over cash from his wallet before one of the suspects hit him in the face, sending him to the ground.
“The (suspects) then drove away in the victim’s vehicle,” police said. “The victim was able to return to his residence and call the police. He was later transported to an area hospital with non life-threatening injuries.”
The man’s stolen vehicle is a 2003 black BMW 330XI with Colorado license plate 103UHX.
