Two separate rollover accidents about four miles and one half-hour apart left one man injured Saturday morning near Hartsel in Park County, authorities say.

The man was taken to a hospital with moderate injuries, said Trooper Nate Reid, spokesman for the Colorado State Patrol.

Although multiple people were thrown out of a pickup during a second rollover no one was injured, Reid said.

“Roads are very slick,” Reid said. “If you don’t have to go anywhere don’t go anywhere. Slow down and give yourself plenty of space between vehicles.”

The first accident, in which the man was injured, happened at 8:14 a.m. on U.S. Highway 24, Reid said. The man was alone in the blue pickup truck. His name has not been released.

The second roll over occurred at 8:32 a.m. four miles away on the same highway, Reid said.
