The Colorado State Patrol has identified three men killed when they were all ejected from a pickup truck in a single-vehicle Western Slope wreck early Saturday morning.

The crash happened at about 2 a.m. in Montrose near Mexican Gulch on Spring Creek Road. A 2005 Dodge pickup was westbound at a high rate of speed when it ran off the side of the road and rolled multiple times.

The driver, Luis Esparza-Montelongo, 21, of Delta, was pronounced dead at the scene..

Passengers Jose Ramirez-Martinez, 23, of Montrose, and Armando Rendon, 24, of Montrose, were also pronounced dead at the scene.

“None of the occupants were restrained,” Trooper Nate Reid said.

Reid said alcohol is suspected in the crash and that the driver’s blood alcohol content will be tested by the Montrose County coroner.
