Police in Denver say they are investigating the death of a person found inside a home in the northwest part of the city on Wednesday morning .

The body was found by officers responding to a request for a welfare check at about 10:30 a.m. on the 2600 block of Java Court.

Police did not release further information in the homicide and said they would provide updates as they become available.

Officials say they have no suspect information.

The city’s coroner’s office will release the identity of the victim and cause of death, police said.
