• Bross Group, a Denver-based information technology firm, has agreed to acquire New York-based FusionHiTek, the technology division of Fusion Productions.
• The Freeport-McMoRan Foundation made a $1 million gift to Colorado School of Mines to support extensive renovations and upgrades to the Edgar Mine, the university’s experimental mine facility in Idaho Springs.
• CH2M Hill Foundation recently announced $1 million in support for STEM Education (science, technology, engineering and math) and sustainable communities around the world. Local grantees include the Denver School of Science and Technology and the Summer Engineering Experience for Kids.
• Hyder Construction has broken ground on the second phase of FirstBank’s Lakewood headquarters expansion, a 126,000 square foot office addition. The first phase of the expansion was a 600-stall precast concrete parking garage, completed in December.
• Oak Group LP of Los Angeles has purchased the 13,865-square-foot Interplaza West shopping center at 16950 W. Colfax Ave. in Golden for $5.25 million from James R. and Nancy W. Chiamulon.
