A man was stabbed early Friday afternoon in Arapahoe County following an apparent road rage incident, the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office said.
The incident occurred at about 12:56 p.m., the area of 17200 East Smoky Hill Road, officials said.
An initial investigation by deputies revealed that two drivers pulled into the access road to the parking lot of a business there and became involved in a physical altercation. The altercation appeared to the result of road rage.
During the fight, one of the drivers stabbed the other driver. The suspect then fled the scene after a witness intervened and called 911.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries, which are not life threatening. Deputies were able to locate the suspect, who was not identified by the sheriff’s office.
