A man was hospitalized in Denver on Monday morning after he accidentally shot himself in the hand, police said.
The shooting happened at a home on the 100 block of South Monaco Parkway. The man was reaching for his gun when it accidentally discharged, a preliminary police investigation found.
The man was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Police spokesman Sonny Jackson said charges are not pending against the man.
