If you’ve got to have a change of scene, the wife of the late Joe Cocker is offering everything you need.

The 243-acre Mad Dog Ranch the gritty-voiced singer shared with his wife Pam in Crawford since 1994 is on the market for $7 million, which includes a palatial 16,000 square-foot home. Cocker, whose unruly contortions on rock-and-roll stages belied his quiet rural Colorado life as a tomato gardener and fly fisherman, at age 70.

The English Tudor-styled home and meticulously landscaped estate in the North Fork Valley still resonates with the touch of the British crooner, who recorded more than 30 albums in his career. The eight-bedroom, nine-bath home was built to the Cockers’ specifications, with a focus on entertaining with a gourmet kitchen, giant dining room, cherry-paneled library and billiard room with a wet bar.

The eight upstairs bedrooms include a 1,500-square-foot master suite, with two bathrooms, a coffee bar, a stone fireplace and a private balcony.

All the ground-floor gathering rooms open to the outdoor terrace overlooking the groomed lawns, acre-sized swimming pond and gardens where Cocker grew his renowned tomatoes. Wooden walkways traverse the English gardens, accessing outdoor nooks in the aspen, scrub oak and evergreen forests in the shadow of the volcanic pillar known as Needle Rock. The property includes a seven-stall barn, outdoor riding arena and corral as well as two commercial-sized greenhouses. Adjacent BLM lands spill into the West Elk Wilderness.

The Cockers listed their property last spring with Aspen’s Joshua and Co. brokerage for $7 million, or $7.85 million fully furnished. Pam Cocker that they planned to move across the street and build a smaller home.

Now listed with Coldwell Banker Devonshire, the estate’s $7 million listing price includes furnishings. Mandy Nadler is the listing agent.
