After promising two albums in as many years, has shared the lead single off the band’s upcoming seventh studio album.
On the track — “Big Decisions” — Jim James’ vocals fly beautifully with Carl Broemel’s guitar. It starts heavy, with crunching, rolling riffs, and moves to a wide open and wailing chorus. Coming in two waves, “Big Decisions” is big enough to live up to its namesake.
Along with the release, My Morning Jacket is prepping a summer that includes spots at Bonnaroo and Governors Ball.
My Morning Jacket last performed in the Denver area for Americanarama at Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre. Wilco and My Morning Jacket took the stage together to perform a cover of Neil Young’s “Cinnamon Girl.”
