Centura Health is opening on Saturday with a community celebration.
The public can get a tour of the facility, check out live music and ice sculpture demonstrations, sample free food and win free giveaways among other things.
Visitors can also learn about , drop-in childcare for patients and wellness classes.
The new health campus at 144th Avenue and Interstate 25 in Westminster will provide 92 inpatient rooms, including a 20-room intensive care unit; inpatient and outpatient surgery; a 12-room birthing center; diagnostics and imaging; and an emergency room that operates 24 hours a day. The facility will employ about 1,350 people.
“St. Anthony North Health Campus is the future of health care,” said CEO Carole Peet in a written statement. “The campus meets the immediate and future needs of our neighbors in north-metro Denver, with a focus on health and wellness. We are bringing care previously unavailable in north Denver to our customers with unparalleled service and convenience.”
The facility will begin receiving patients on March 3 when patients at the existing St. Anthony North Hospital at 84th Avenue and Zuni Street are transferred to the new campus.The former hospital will become a neighborhood health center, serving as a feeder into the new health campus.
