One person was killed early Tuesday in a single-vehicle Douglas County crash.

The crash happened near the intersection of University Boulevard and Dad Clark Drive where the vehicle hit a traffic pole, .

“The traffic signal at the intersection of University Boulevard and Venneford Ranch Road is expected to be out for two days,” the county sheriff’s office said. “Expect traffic delays and avoid the intersection.”

The sheriff’s office said it is investigating the crash.

The identity of the person killed in the crash has not been released. The driver was the only person in the car when it wrecked, authorities say.

“This is an active and ongoing investigation and no additional information is available at this time,” the sheriff’s office said in a news release.
