A woman was transported to a hospital after she suffered smoke inhalation in a Denver house fire early Tuesday.

The fire began at about 3 a.m. on the 2000 block of Fox Street, the fire department said.

Fire officials say the blaze is still under investigation.

Photos from the scene showed smoke pouring from the home while the fire was still active. Firefighters at the scene the woman appeared to be in her 70s.

An update on the woman’s condition was not immediately available.
