Loveland Police are investigating a Saturday morning robbery, that may involve a police impersonation.

Police were called to the parking lot of the 7-11 convenience store at 105 East 37th Street at about 2:30 a.m.

When officers arrived, they talked to four juvenile boys who said they had been robbed.

The boys, ages 14 and 15, said they were approached by two adult men who stopped them and asked them what they were doing. One of the men, a Hispanic man with a scar near his chin, identified himself as law enforcement, but never showed any credentials. While talking, the first man, asked the man he was with, a black man of approximately 30 years of age, to look around the bank for broken glass. That second man walked away.

But the first man continued talking to the boys, and took a wallet and a cellphone from one of the boys before walking away.

He was last seen walking east from the 7-11 store toward 37th Street and Elder Drive.

Anyone with information about the men or the incident is asked to call the Loveland Police Department Tip Line at 970-962-2032.

To remain anonymous, anyone with information can also call Crime Stoppers of Larimer County at 970-221-6868.
