Starting on Wednesday, a stretch on Montview Boulevard in Aurora will be reduced to one lane in each direction for six months during a storm water project.
The restrictions will span between Yosemite and Dallas streets.
Officials encourage motorists to seek alternate routes during the construction.
“This work is part of an Aurora storm water project in Lower Westerly Creek and includes the replacement of the Montview bridge, which will help take the surrounding neighborhood out of the FEMA-designated floodplain,” the city said in a news release.
