Brain Booster 5K

March 28: Rachel’s Ribbons of Hope presents this annual family-friendly benefit for pediatric brain tumor research, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Festivities include the 5K, vendors, music, food, awards and more. Early registration is $30 through March 20, $25 for Remote Runner (run/walk where you are but still receive T-shirt and bag). Dogs welcome. Erin Go Braugh 7.77K

March 14: Irish green attire is encouraged for the 7.77K offered as part of the 3W Series. 9 a.m. start time. $40, $50 on race day. Proceeds benefit Growing Home that helps children and families succeed. An after-party follows at 10:45 a.m. at Kokopelli Beer Company. Those who bring at least seven items to donate to Growing Home will receive a raffle ticket for prizes. Lucky Laces 5K/10K and Little Leprechaun Fun Run

March 14: The final race in the City Park Winter Running Series invites “lads and lasses, ladies and lords” to the annual run. Start time is 9 a.m. $45 for 5K, $50 for 10K. The Little Leprechaun 1K is free for ages 10 and under. Starting line is on the south end of the park near the Pavilion. Participants are asked to bring a canned good to donate to families in need. Runnin’ of the Green

March 15: “Denver’s classic Irish jog” includes a 7K run/walk and an untimed Leprechaun Leap 2-mile run/walk in the 27th annual benefit for Volunteers of America’s Veterans programs and Meals on Wheels program. 8 a.m. registration, 10:15 a.m. 7K starts, 10:35 a.m. Leprechaun Leap. “Green fees” are $46 through March 14, $50 on race day. Winter Park Resort’s TJV Ski Down for Cancer

March 21: The fifth annual benefit for the American Cancer Society and Cavett Kids to honor Thomas James Veit, a Winter Park a 12-year Winter Park ski patroller who lost his battle with colon cancer in 2011. Members of the Winter Park ski patrol and volunteers will ski/ride down lower Hughes at approximately 5 p.m. Guests may join for a $25 donation or more.
