Passengers at Denver International Airport aboard a smaller aircraft had to deplane after the pilot reported smoke in the cabin, officials said.
SkyWest Flight 6377, operating as United Express, was headed to Tulsa at 5:30 p.m., said Laura Coale, Denver International Airport spokeswoman.
The flight was taxiing on the B concourse, about to depart, when the pilot reported smoke in the cabin, Coale said.
Passengers used the aircraft’s stairs to deplane and were then bused to the concourse. There were no reports of injuries, Coale said.
Fifty-six people were onboard, said Layne Watson, Skywest spokesman. Skywest is working to get the passengers on another aircraft to Tulsa.
“We were shooting for about 7:30 p.m., which would put their delay at about 2 hours,” Watson said a few minutes before 7:30 p.m. “We expect to get them departing in a little while.”
Coale said the smoke-filled plane taxied to a “remote” parking spot.
Denver Fire is investigating the cause of the fire.
