1 Shady snack. A man found a meatball with an unknown, black substance stuffed inside it in the backyard of his home in the 19000 block of Cody Avenue, Parker, on March 1. Footprints were found in the snow leading up to his fence, but an animal cruelty investigation has been deactivated for lack of leads.

2 Locksmith needed. A homeowner living on Jordan Court in Parker reported a break-in March 4 at the residence they had just purchased a week prior. A recently installed lock was removed, a different lock and unknown lock box were installed and the blinds repositioned when no one was home.

3 Bad break. A resident in the 8400 block of Wild Alfalfa Place, Parker, on March 7 reported their rear windshield had been shattered in their driveway overnight.

4 The undertow. Officers were called to the office of H-P Geotech,10302 S. Progress Way, Parker, on March 3 on a report that someone stole a black, utility trailer from the business.

5 Sweet tooth. A shopper at the Hobby Lobby at10901 S. Parker Road, Parker, was issued a summons March 6 when a clerk reported the person for taking a candy bar from near the register without paying. The suspect was found to be carrying $15.35 worth of stolen candy and other items.

6 TP torch. Police responded to a call about a fire that had already been extinguished at Railbender Park,10543 Twenty Mile Road, Parker, on Feb. 27. The person who called in the fire said they found a pile of charred toilet paper on the floor of the men’s room there.
