1 Shoplifter assaults owner on way out. A liquor store owner called Denver police on March 13 after a customer tried to walk out with two wine bottles without paying and assaulted him when confronted. An officer responded to Ted’s Liquors, 3101 E. Colfax Ave., and contacted the victim who said he had been hit with a glass bottle.

2 Fight at IHOP. On March 15, police responded to a fight at IHOP, 1595 S. Colorado Blvd. After both parties were in custody, the manager said the suspects got into a fight and caused a big disturbance in the restaurant. The fight ended up behind the counter.

3 Unknown suspect enters home. A man called police on March 15 after a strange woman entered his home in the 4900 block of Billings Street and assaulted him. The man’s wife let the woman inside, thinking it was her niece. When it was determined that the suspect was not related, she was asked to leave. The suspect pulled hair and broke the victim’s glasses. (Not on map.)

4 Gas station loiterer reported. On March 13, a police officer was dispatched to a Bradley gas station, 5000 Federal Blvd., to contact a man who had been standing outside for more than five hours. The manager said the suspect had been disturbing customers.

5 Suspect makes threats, uses racial slurs. A man was arrested March 14 after causing a disturbance and making threats in the 900 block of Downing Street. Police contacted the suspect, who was hurling racial slurs at people at a bus stop across the street. He also threatened to kill his neighbor.
