Paving crews in Denver are “dusting off their paving equipment” this week in preparation for seasonal work slated to begin in the city, officials say.

According to Denver Public Works, crews hope to pave 360 lane miles this year.

Starting Wednesday, crews will begin paving 56th Avenue from Peoria to Chambers streets and in select alleys. Meanwhile, crews will start on curb and pedestrian ramp repairs and installation in neighborhoods across the city.

Officials say the paving operations are weather dependant and that adverse conditions could change the timing of the scheduled work.

Denver Public Works also reminds residents to obey “no parking” areas, warning of tickets and possible tows for those who don’t.
