An Illinois man is in hot water after a traffic violation turns into a large-scale drug bust.
Peter Vercillo was arrested after deputies , which is roughly 1,000 times the amount individuals can legally possess in Colorado. Vercillo was pulled over yesterday for a left lane moving violation, then a K-9 drug dog alerted deputies to a positive hit on pot. The 37-year-old faces charges of intent to distribute marijuana.
A Carbondale man who admitted while he was being airlifted to a hospital that he killed his wife, says he crashed his car in an attempt to kill himself.
The arrest affidavit reveals that Arturo Navarrete-Portillo . The 46-year-old says he doesn’t remember the details because he was “crazy” at the time. The February murder was the first in Carbondale since 2003.
