COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — A man who was involved in a fatal sledding accident in Colorado Springs has pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide.
The Gazette reports (http://bit.ly/1FiZzom ) 43-year-old Michael Miner was pulling 33-year-old David Teets with an SUV in December when the SUV crashed into a parked car. Teets suffered severe brain swelling and died a few days later.
Miner, who entered his plea Wednesday, was arrested on suspicion of vehicular assault and attempting to influence a public servant. Investigators say he let a 27-year-old woman take the blame for the accident when he told police she had been driving the vehicle.
The sled was made from a metal bed frame covered with a rubber mat.
