One person was killed and a second person was seriously injured Saturday morning in a three-car collision on Evergreen Parkway, authorities say.

The identities of those involved in the accident have not yet been released.

The collision happened at the intersection of Evergreen and Colorado Highway 65 at about 10:15 a.m., said Tim Sutherland, spokesman for the Colorado State Patrol.

One person was taken to a hospital for treatment.

The driver of a 2013 Toyota Hatchback was pronounced dead at the scene, Sutherland said.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
