A man died in an early morning Castle Rock house fire Wednesday after firefighters pulled him from a burning home and tried to resuscitate him, officials said.
The fire happened at 3914 Morning Glory Dr. and was first reported at about 4:45 a.m.
Castle Rock Fire Rescue says the blaze was contained to one home.
Chief Arturo Morales said the man appeared to be in his 50s. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Firefighters contained the blaze within about 10 minutes, according to a news release from the town.
Investigators are working to determine what caused the blaze.
“The circumstances of the fire are under investigation by Castle Rock Fire Rescue and Castle Rock Police,” the release said.
