Birds of a feather
This year marks the ninth annual Mountain Plover Festival, which nvites birders, families and nature lovers to celebrate the small, black-capped birds that call the town of Karval home from April to September. Bird watching, wildlife viewing (sightings of great horned owls, golden eagles, eastern screech owls, great blue herons, badgers, coyotes, pronghorns and more are possibilities), entertainment and an authentic Chuck Wagon dinner are included.
