Getting your player ready...

Saturday-Sunday: Free days at Denver cultural institutions are not uncommon, but only once a year are they geared exclusively toward the little ones. The annual Día del Niño Celebration opens up the Denver Museum of Nature & Science and Denver Art Museum complex — including the Denver Public Library, Clyfford Still Museum, History Colorado Center and Byers-Evans House Museum — to the public, free of charge. Kid-specific activities include scavenger hunts, face-painting, crafts, bilingual storytime and visits from Colorado sports mascots, along with surprisingly rich live music and dance performances from local and national artists. Events take place 9 a.m.-5 p.m April 25 and April 26, but schedules vary around museums. 720-913-0072 or and .
