1 Bad mommy. On April 16, a mother was arrested for leaving her 5-year-old son at home unattended for more than two hours in the 2700 block of Ingalls Street, Edgewater, while she drank at a nearby bar. Police found the boy wandering the apartment hallway.

2 Dinner dispute. A woman living in the 1200 block of Wadsworth Boulevard in Lakewood was arrested for domestic violence April 11. Her husband of three years came home after work and belittled her because he did not approve of what she made for dinner. He called her a terrible wife and incited her to slap him in the face repeatedly. He slapped her once in return.

3 Shady friend. A man was arrested for criminal mischief April 10 after he was found banging on an apartment door in the 400 block of Depew Street in Lakewood. The man damaged the door and door frame. He claimed he was trying to locate a spare key to his friend’s apartment.

4 Nissan stolen. Sometime between 10 p.m. April 16 and 7:30 a.m. April 17, a brown 1996 Nissan Altima was stolen from an apartment complex parking lot in the 2600 block of Kendall Street in Edgewater.

5 Tagging. A man was arrested for criminal mischief April 8 in the area of West Mississippi Avenue and South Wadsworth Boulevard in Lakewood. He was seen walking by several businesses after hours and writing something on a building. He had fresh paint on his hands.

6 DUI. On April 12, an officer arrested a 48-year-old woman for speeding, drinking an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle and DUI in the 2400 block of Sheridan Boulevard, Edgewater.
