Here’s another difficult one that will be difficult to replace … Dean Adams has announced his decision to retire from coaching multiple at Grandview in Aurora.

Adams has been on the job for 26 years, 15 as head baseball coach of the Class 5A Wolves. He has led them to four Centennial League championships, four quarterfinals showings and one final four appearance, in 2013.

He has built many long-lasting relationships with current and former students, and is a well-respected coach within the baseball community in Colorado, according to athletic director Jamee Ulitzky.

Adams also will step down as defensive coordinator for the Grandview football team, which has been known for its defense, He will continue to teach at Grandview in the business department.

The head position will be posted on the Cherry Creek School District website for all interested candidates after the conclusion of the season. Any questions can be directed to Ulitzky.
