1 Easter pill popping. A woman reported that one of her Easter dinner guests stole 40 painkillers from her kitchen April 7. The victim, who lives in the 4800 block of South Joplin Street, said she had 11 new people over for dinner, and wasn’t sure who took the pills.

2 Don’t block the parking lot. A man who was helping his brother move from his home in the 16200 block of East Alameda Avenue parked a moving truck across six parking spaces outside the home April 11. Overnight, someone smashed the windshields of the moving truck and the victim’s own car with cinder blocks. There was a note about wanting to park in the spaces.

3 Landlord dispute. Police were called to the 15500 block of East Colfax Avenue because a couple suspected that their ex-landlord stole some tools and a ladder while the couple was moving out April 8. The tools went missing after the couple was evicted, but police couldn’t prove who took them.

4 Serial graffiti. The owner of the Whispers Bar and Restaurant at 1930 S. Havana St. called police because someone tagged the words “REOK JAW” all over the front door and back of the building April 10. The words were also tagged at another business a week earlier.

5 Crime duo. Two men were cited for trying to steal ear buds, makeup and razors from the Walmart at 9400 E. Hampden Ave. on April 9. They were caught by security.

6 Broken window. The owner of La Plaza Maxicana, 10061 E. Colfax Ave., called police April 11 because someone threw a rock through his front window. There are no suspects.
