
1 Salad stomper. Police interviewed two roommates at an apartment in an undisclosed block of Marsh Hawk Circle, Castle Rock, on April 3 after one said the other scratched her face during an argument. The second woman denied it, saying her roommate smashed a glass and other property before throwing a salad she was making on the floor and stomping on it. Neither pursued charges.
2 Quick snatch. Maintenance crews reported that on April 21 the cage protecting a water backflow device and copper piping at Altair Park,884 Altair Drive, Lone Tree, was found damaged. The device, installed just the day before, and some copper fittings were missing, resulting in $900 in losses.
3 Green Dot scam. A man living in the 16000 block of Stonefeld Place, Parker, on April 11 received a Green Dot prepaid debit card in the mail with his name on it that he never ordered. He was informed it was fraud.
4 No boots now. A woman living in the 9600 block of Timber Hawk Circle in Highlands Ranch said that she forgot to close her garage door April 20 and awoke to find her car had been rifled through. A bag with two pairs of Columbia snow boots was missing from the garage.
5 Family matters. A woman living in an undisclosed block of Cantril Street, Castle Rock, said her stepmother slapped her face April 12 after coming to her house to ask about her father’s inheritance. She said she tried to hit her again so the victim slapped her. One of her step- brothers then kicked the victim’s leg. She did not pursue charges.
