The , a defensive end out of Missouri, with their first-round selection after moving up to No. 23 via a trade with the Detroit Lions

To move up five spots, from their original No. 28 pick, the Broncos gave up offensive lineman Manny Ramirez, a fifth-round pick (No. 143) this year and a fifth-round pick next year. In addition to Ray, the Broncos cleared $3 million in cap space in the deal.
