Police in Denver are investigating after a shooting in the city’s Northeast Park Hill neighborhood late Thursday left one person with minor injuries.

Police say the department’s gang unit is investigating the shooting.

The shooting happened at about 11 p.m. on the 3300 block of Oneida Street. Police say the victim was taken to a hospital.

Officials identified the victim only as a “male.”

“At this point we don’t know if it’s gang related or not,” Christine Downs, a police spokeswoman, said Friday morning.

Authorities say the suspect or suspects fled the area in a dark-colored vehicle.

Police initially indicated the shooting had happened early Friday.
