In a Denver market fraught with shortages, no group has a tougher time finding homes now than people in the south metro area, searching for single-level living — with the kinds of master-planned amenities they see buyers enjoying up in Broomfield, Thornton, and Northern Colorado. But help is on the way.

Right now, the development team that created Anthem Colorado – the hugely popular master plan in Broomfield where builders offer no less than 20 different ranches – is poring over maps for a 1,000-acre site in Douglas County east of E-470 at Gartrell Road, to offer an imaginative array of ranch concepts by two builders with great credentials in those single-story designs: Standard Pacific Homes and Toll Brothers.

Inspiration Colorado will open with ranch models, and will have other homes in future offerings that may appeal to families of all ages. Included will be a package of lifestyle amenities similar to those that have created Anthem’s sense of community – including a full-time lifestyle director devoted to events, ones that draw residents into the parks to meet neighbors. Like Anthem, Inspiration will have neighborhoods exclusively for age-55-plus buyers, but also a non-deed restricted area. (Inspiration will be served by the same Douglas County Schools that residents in Parker currently have.)
“We know that there are plenty of ranch buyers out there that may not want to live in a deed restricted area,” says Giles Patterson, Colorado Division President for Standard Pacific Homes, planning to bring eight all-new ranch designs ranging from 1,800 to 2,800 square feet, plus generous covered outdoor living spaces. Inspiration’s topography will allow for walkout lower levels on some homes; and even an option for a full-wide four-car garage.
For the 55-plus buyers, Toll Brothers Active Adult Living will offer the same award-winning designs currently at Anthem. In addition to panoramic views from the highest point in Inspiration, Toll Brothers residents will have exclusive access to 20 Mile House, a 12,000-square-foot resort-style activities center. “We’re excited to be part of a majestic community, and know our clients will appreciate the cultural and recreational paradise that’ll be found around Inspiration,” says Reggie Carveth, Colorado Division AVP for Toll Brothers.

“It’s a pretty special piece of ground,” adds Carl Nelson, Project Manager for Inspiration Colorado. According to Nelson, buyers will get much of the community feel that Anthem residents enjoy — a high level of quality in amenities overseen by a single HOA, and by the same company that manages Anthem’s lifestyle package. “We’re striving to create an intergenerational community that allows people of all ages to come together,” he adds. “We’re big proponents of lifestyle, and much of the team that’s planning the Inspiration project was involved throughout Anthem’s 10-year development.”

Sales at Inspiration will begin this summer — but you’ll already see five miles of trail, and a sports area that has playgrounds, soccer fields, basketball, tennis and a sport court, a mile south of E-470 on Gartrell Road. Meanwhile, you can already get a flavor for what’s arriving by visiting Anthem, where you can tour six models from three Toll Brothers ranch collections; as well as a new ranch arriving from Standard Pacific Homes. To visit Anthem, take I-25 north past 470 to Highway 7, turn west three miles to Lowell and south to Preble Creek Parkway. Or find out more at InspirationColorado.com.
