Electronic music trailblazers, , have announced a short North American tour that will stop in Denver in September.

The group has performed its innovative 3D concerts at a few select U.S. cities, but this tour, which kicks off on Sept. 16, stops in Denver on Sept. 23 and wraps up on Oct. 9, marks its first full-scale run. As it has for other dates for this tour, Kraftwerk is playing in iconic classic theaters (Denver’s show is at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House). For the 3D aspect of the show, fans are given 3D glasses before being seated in the theater.

“The visuals were appropriately low-tech despite the 3D projection. Many of the early computer graphics with wire-frame imagery seemed almost like a steam-punk approach. All in keeping with the handmade lo-fi aesthetic that Kraftwerk have always espoused,” Consequence of Sound

The act — one of a few U.S. dates along with a co-headlining spot at Coachella.

As Reverb’s Ricardo Baca wrote of the :

“If the influential German band gives its fans the classically stoic stage show, including the robot-mannequins and the geeky-arty visuals on the backdrop, they’re psyched. Of course the setlist is important, too – and Kraftwerk doesn’t often disappoint, as most of their multimedia is directly attached (beat for beat, even) to their most iconic hits.”

Kraftwerk plays Denver’s Ellie Caulkins Opera House on Sept. 23. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on May 8 and cost $49.50- $79.50.
