
1 Strong armed. Two men, ages 18 and 19, called police to the 700 block West Dartmouth Avenue, Englewood, on April 23 to report another man stole personal items from them and beat one of them up when they tried to stop him. A cellphone video was taken of the incident and an investigation is ongoing.
2 Bad influences. At 11:30 p.m. April 23, police checked on a suspicious vehicle with three people inside in the 2700 block of South Sante Fe Drive in Englewood. It was determined that one of the occupants was a 15-year-old runaway from Montana. The other two occupants, an 18-year-old man and 24-year-old woman, were arrested in part for providing marijuana to the teenager.
3 Smolder and burn. Police responded to a truck completely engulfed in flames in the 2200 block West Wesley Avenue, Englewood, just after midnight Aril 24. Investigators determined someone poured gasoline on the truck before burning it. The investigation is open.
4 Shoplifting tweaker. Loss prevention specialists at a business in the 600 block of Englewood Parkway, Englewood, detained a 43-year-old shoplifter April 26. Police found meth on the suspect.
5 Not the best getaway plan. Police arrested a 22-year-old man who was found passed out behind the wheel of a car in an alley on the east side of the 3900 block South Sherman Street, Englewood, following a brief struggle at about 8 a.m. April 28. The car was determined to be stolen out of Jefferson County. Objects found in the car were linked to another vehicle theft. The man is facing felony charges.
