Former George W. Bush press secretary Dana Perino might want to travel abroad a bit more if she believes the conservative “exceptionalism” dogma that the United States has “freedom and opportunity unlike anywhere else in the world.” That would be news to most of Western Europe, along with Canada, Australia and New Zealand, Japan, Iceland, and yes, even Uruguay, let alone a few other countries.
