Denver police are investigating after a man was shot and injured Saturday morning in northeast Denver.
The victim was taken to a hospital in serious condition.
The shooting happened near East 25th Avenue and Elm Street, according to a Denver police tweet.
“There were multiple rounds fired,” said Eranda Piyasena, Denver police spokesman.
Denver police tweeted Saturday night that the suspects are described as two or three black males in a gray SUV.
The shooting happened in an area plagued by , but there is no indication yet whether this shooting is related to gang activity. “At this point, it’s too early to tell whether it was gang-related,” Piyasena said.
Several blocks between Elm and Forest streets were closed Saturday during a criminal investigation.
